Look, I hate how Ratchet has to die in the TF4 movie, but let's face it; not all the characters are gonna last in the franchise. It's kinda like Star Wars, we all have some beloved characters, but they will get killed off, unfortunately. Yes we've lost Jazz, and Ironhide, but in G1 movie, we've lost Wheeljack, Ironhide, Prowl, and Ratchet. It sucks that we have to lose them. But let's face it, we should embrace it. 

The AOE is canon, I don't know what makes you say it's not canon, it is. Must deal with it.

Also, this is not even Michael Bay's idea, it's the former screenwriter Ehren Krueger who did it. Plus, you're only making the Michael Bay hatedom even more toxic than ever.
